Educational guidance strategies regarding bullying among seventh-grade students are essential mechanisms for strengthening communication among those involved in the educational environment. This article aims to diagnose the guidance strategies used in a school in Ecuador to prevent bullying. A sequential mixed-methods approach was implemented to verify seventh-grade students' perceptions of the types of bullying and the guidance strategies implemented by the institution. A survey was administered to students, and semi-structured interviews were conducted with teachers and counselors. The results indicate that teachers assume an intervention role in resolving conflicts arising from bullying; however, there is no standard protocol for action in these cases, which limits their approach. The prevention strategies implemented in the school are only partially effective, highlighting the urgent need to include pedagogical guidance initiatives to address this educational problem. Consequently, it is concluded that it is essential to act in the prevention of school bullying from a comprehensive and continuous approach, which allows for the training of teachers to act in these cases, as well as the awareness of students to achieve a healthy educational coexistence.
