Planning in the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises

The present article summarizes and analyzes the answers offered by companies of the territory on the planning in the small and medium enterprises of the province, it is part of the research work of the Universidad Metropolitana Sede Machala about these companies in the territory. Based on the Competitiveness Map developed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and adapted to be used in the organizational diagnosis of SMEs. The responses provided by managers are reflected in the application of a total of 1406 surveys to small and medium-sized companies. The results achieved allow us to take actions in the University-Enterprise relationship to encourage the use of planning techniques and in specific aggregate planning. Through training actions it can be achieved that these companies use planning as a management tool.
