The social function of the psychopedagogue and his current theoretical conceptions

This article aims to support the theoretical and methodological conceptions of the social function of the educational psychologist. Theoretical methods were applied, which facilitated position taking and arrived at significant generalizations from the deductive and inductive unit. It revealed psychopedagogical intervention in social problems in the educational field as a particularity of the function under study. This is based on prevention, from the fulfillment of professional functions. The essence of the social role is revealed, supported by a system of holistic actions and from a procedure consistent with the demands of educational contexts.
