Abstract

Academic motivation is a key factor in the teaching-learning process, as it influences students’ participation, interest, and academic performance. Currently, in elementary education, there are challenges such as constant distractions, a lack of motivation, the use of traditional teaching methods, and the frequent use of technology for recreational purposes, which lead to disinterest and low participation in the classroom. Given this situation, it is necessary to implement innovative strategies that foster more dynamic and participatory learning environments. In this context, the ClassDojo app serves as a fun digital tool that integrates game mechanics, rewards, and immediate feedback to encourage student participation and interest. Through point systems and recognition of achievements, the aim is to strengthen academic motivation and foster a positive attitude toward academic activities. The objective of this article is to reflect on the importance of using ClassDojo as a strategy to motivate elementary school students, highlighting how digital tools and playful activities can promote active participation, a desire to learn, and the creation of more dynamic and innovative learning environments within the classroom.
