Emotional intelligence plays a key role in the integral development of students, positively influencing academic performance and interpersonal relationships. This study aimed to propose and validate educational practices to strengthen emotional intelligence in eighth-grade students of Basic Education. A mixed-method approach was applied, combining documentary and field research, along with theoretical, empirical, and statistical methods. Data collection included a literature review, the application of instruments to students, and direct observation. Validation was carried out through the Delphi method. The educational strategy designed was based on an interactive and reflective didactic approach, incorporating group dynamics, debates, and self-assessment exercises to foster emotional self-regulation, empathy, resilience, tolerance, and emotional self-awareness. The proposal was structured in three phases: awareness and diagnosis of emotional education, development of emotional activities, and impact evaluation through games and self-reflection exercises. The results showed a 35% increase in the medium level of emotional competencies after the intervention, with one hour dedicated to each activity per class session. In conclusion, the proposal proved effective in improving students’ emotional intelligence, generating significant benefits in their emotional well-being, communication, and academic performance, while fostering a more empathetic and emotionally aware educational environment.
