Advanced-stage liver cirrhosis presents a significant clinical challenge due to its multiple complications and high morbidity and mortality rates. This paper analyzes a clinical case of a patient with Child-Pugh class C cirrhosis who developed upper gastrointestinal bleeding secondary to esophageal varices, along with hemodynamic decompensation and multiorgan failure. Diagnostic considerations, multidisciplinary therapeutic management, and the patient’s clinical evolution are thoroughly examined. Effective management requires prompt hemodynamic stabilization, timely endoscopic intervention, and comprehensive treatment of associated systemic dysfunctions. The case also underlines the poor prognosis in such settings and emphasizes the importance of early evaluation for liver transplantation as the only curative option. This report illustrates the severity of complications in decompensated cirrhosis and reinforces the relevance of standardized clinical protocols.
