The study us carried out with the objective of analyzing risk and vulnerability management as content to achieve resilience un the population vulnerable to natural phenomena residing in the community of Punta Gorda un the territory of Cienfuegos, I take place in several stages of execution that make up the methodological activities designed by university teachers based in the diagnosis of a group of this population. The methodological activities provide general elements in disaster rusk and vulnerability, that from the cognitive and attitudinal will lead to change based on the characteristics and resources used people from their own perspective. Explanatory qualitative methodology is used. The results showed a significant relations hip, between the generation, preservation and dissemination of knowledge and change as an act of modification of human performance.
