Commercial advertisements in the souvenir brochures and school yearbooks of two catholic schools in Cienfuegos (1912-1925)

Commercial advertisements published in Souvenir Brochures and School Yearbooks they were one of the economic pillars of two of the Catholic schools located in the city of Cienfuegos. The advertisements promoted ideas of modernity and progress, while consolidating relations between the Catholic Church and urban family businesses. To study them, the methodology proposed by john Collier, designed to interpret photographic sources in general, was assumed. The commercials established the dynamic interactions between these media outlets and their audiences.
