The objective of this article is to carry out a systematic review of the implementation of restorative justice in the context of the Ecuadorian criminal system. Fundamental aspects will be addressed, including its legal framework, the approaches adopted, the results obtained and the challenges faced in practice. This study seeks to understand and critically evaluate the effectiveness and impact of restorative justice in the judicial system of Ecuador, exhaustively analyzing the policies, programs and procedures applied in this area.
