The present work aims to analyze the right to due process in Ecuador, based on the constitutional judgment No. 4-19-EP/21, issued by the Constitutional Court. The analysis focuses on the considerations and aspects of the right to due process, its relationship with the right to defense and the basic guarantees that everyone possesses in any proceeding in which they are a procedural part; It also considers what was said by the Constitutional Court in similar judgments and what was stated by the Inter-American Court of Human Rights whose analysis will be taken for the study of the specific case. Regarding the sentence, it will be compared with other pronouncements of the constitutional court, and also with what doctrinaires and professors have stated in reference to this right and constitutional guarantee, in order to finally issue the corresponding criterion with objectivity.
