Psychological violence against women, judicial protection, and the effectiveness of the Ecuadorian system.

This research project addresses effective judicial protection in cases of psychological violence against women in Ecuador. It focuses on examining the effectiveness of the Ecuadorian legal system in protecting victims and guaranteeing their access to justice. Using a qualitative approach, the study analyzes legal frameworks, court cases and institutional responses to identify barriers and propose improvements. The research explores the profound consequences of psychological violence on the mental health of victims and examines the legal, social and economic obstacles they face when seeking justice. The existing legal framework is evaluated, including laws and protection measures, as well as the role of support networks. The project seeks to contribute to a more effective and sensitive approach to psychological violence against women in Ecuador, improving access to justice and protection of victims through recommendations for the training of officials, updating regulatory frameworks, strengthening protection mechanisms and improvement of inter-institutional coordination.
