About the Journal

Revista Metropolitana de Ciencias Aplicadas (REMCA), is a peer-reviewed scientific journal of multidisciplinary nature that aims to socialize the scientific results derived from the substantive processes of the Metropolitan University of Ecuador and other educational institutions of higher education: national, Latin American and the world.

The Journal has a quarterly frequency and is published in the months: January, January-April period; May, May-August; and September, September-December. Is published from 1 to 10 of each of these months.

REMCA publishes and spreads its contributions based on the philosophy of Open Access, where knowledge is free both in its dissemination and in its access. This journal provides free and immediate access to its content under the principle of making available, free of charge, research and promoting the exchange of knowledge globally.

Revista Metropolitana de Ciencias Aplicadas , for the selection of the articles it publishes, is supported in the Open Peer Review method. All this, in order to guarantee the quality of its content.

The intention and effort of the editorial board of the journal is to make this publication an obligatory reference for researchers and teachers who wish to raise their scientific level in these areas of knowledge.

Focus and scope

Revista Metropolitana de Ciencias Aplicadas (REMCA), disseminates the results of research, development and innovation of teachers, researchers and students of the metropolitan university community and also of other Higher Education institutions in Ecuador, the region and the world, as a necessary means of academic exchange and service to society in the commitment to the democratization of knowledge. The journal addresses science applied to solving society's problems from educational sciences, legal sciences, economics, administration, accounting and applied information and communication technologies.
