Descompensación cirrótica avanzada con hemorragia digestiva alta y fallo multiorgánico: Análisis de un caso clínico complejo

La cirrosis hepática en estadio avanzado representa un desafío clínico debido a sus múltiples complicaciones y su elevada morbimortalidad. Este trabajo presenta el análisis de un caso clínico de un paciente con cirrosis clase C según Child-Pugh, que desarrolló hemorragia digestiva alta secundaria a várices esofágicas, acompañada de descompensación hemodinámica y fallo multiorgánico. Se abordan aspectos diagnósticos clave, el abordaje terapéutico multidisciplinario y la evolución clínica del paciente. La gestión eficaz de estos casos requiere una rápida estabilización hemodinámica, intervención endoscópica oportuna, y manejo integral de las disfunciones sistémicas asociadas. Asimismo, se reflexiona sobre el pronóstico reservado en estos escenarios, y la necesidad de una evaluación temprana para trasplante hepático como única opción curativa. Este caso ilustra la gravedad de las complicaciones en cirrosis descompensada y destaca la importancia de protocolos clínicos estandarizados.
