Relationship between VAT refunds and the quality of life of older adults

The Value Added Tax (VAT) refund in Ecuador, implemented as an economic support measure, seeks to improve the purchasing power of older adults who benefit from the Internal Revenue Service (SRI) program. The research question is how the VAT refund influences the quality of life of older adults in the city of Machala in 2024. The objective is to analyze the relationship between the VAT refund and the quality of life of older adults in the city of Machala. The methodology used includes the analysis of surveys and statistical data, with a focus on the economic and social well-being of beneficiaries. The results show a positive impact on access to essential goods and services, improving the perception of well-being and promoting greater social participation, resulting in a better quality of life for older adults.
