Estimados lectores:
La Revista Metropolitana de Ciencias Aplicadas pone a su disposición el volumen 5, número 3, correspondiente al período: septiembre-diciembre. En este cuatrimestre se hace especial énfasis en la importancia de educar para un futuro sostenible; así como en la necesidad de la implicación ciudadana, la justicia para el cambio social.
Todo esto tomando como premisas los postulados de la UNESCO para promover la educación como fundamento de una sociedad más viable para la humanidad e integrar el Desarrollo Sostenible en el sistema de enseñanza escolar en todos los niveles.
La Educación para la sostenibilidad contiene aspectos medioambientales, sociales y económicos de una manera integrada y equilibrada. Abarca la educación formal, no formal e informal y el aprendizaje a lo largo de toda la vida.
En este período el Consejo Editorial de la revista tiene el honor de presentar como nuevo Director al PhD. Ing. Carlos Xavier Espinoza Cordero y Director Ejecutivo al PhD. Rolando Medina Peña. Agradecemos la función realizada por el Phd. Alejandro Rafael Socorro Castro como Director durante estos cinco años.
El Consejo Editorial les invita a consultar los artículos publicados en este número en dependencia de su área del conocimiento de interés y los exhorta a enviar sus contribuciones para el próximo año.
